Jan, our IVF coordinator decided to put me on BCP for a week and a half. I am going out of town this week until August 1st. We have been thinking all along that I would call her when I get back from vacation to get some meds to start my cycle. Well, it occured to me last week that there is always the possibility of it starting while I am out of town, throwing the entire process for a loop! It would be JUST LIKE my body to do that to us, too! I have to be in town on day 3 for my labs and ultrasound to start the transfer cycle, so I can't risk starting in Washington!
So I sent a freak out email (I've gotten good at these mild freak outs!) explaining that I'll be gone and am concerned about starting while I'm gone. She had the same concern (makes me feel better for freaking out!) and decided to put me on BCP so that it won't start while I'm there, and also make it start sooner when I get back! So I take my last real pill on Friday the 31st, and hopefully I will start a few days later! That could push up my transfer a whole week sooner!!!
Never have I been so happy to see those pesky little pills! And never has it been more ironic...
YAY for sooner start date! I know, I dont miss them now that I am off them but I was SO HAPPY to be on them when I was! Just swallowing those pills each day makes you feel like you're "DOING SOMETHING." HUGS!
